This lengthy document comprises more than 30 interviews of friends, neighbours, family, former business associates and Jobs himself.
The interviews were part of a background check for an appointment to the ex-president George HW Bush's Export Council.
Let's have a look at the eight interesting revelations from the FBI's documents...
Distorted truth
There were many individuals who questioned Steve Jobs' honesty. They stated that Jobs used to twist the truth and play around with reality in order to achieve his goals. One of the persons told FBI agents that the Apple co-founder's enormous power caused him to lose sight of honesty and integrity thus leading him to distort the truth.
Apple too made FBI wait
Everyone knows that both Apple and Steve Jobs were notorious for their obsession with secrecy. The documents reveal that they were not particularly helpful to FBI officials. Indeed, according to a document, FBI officials complained that Jobs' secretary made them wait for three weeks to interview him.
Strong business leader
Some of the people who were interviewed generally agreed to the fact that Jobs was a strong leader. He would also succeed in an appointment to the US Export Council. According to the FBI files, there were some people who didn't like him personally but they would definitely recommend him for a position of trust and responsibility.
Alienated many people
One person told FBI that Jobs alienated a lot of people at Apple because of his ambition. The FBI agent also mentioned that two people who were associated with Jobs at Apple told them that Jobs possessed integrity as long as he got his way.
School records
The document which actually shows the enormous lengths to which the FBI went in their investigation, also has Steve Jobs' school records. The records show that Jobs received an average grade of 2.65 out of 4 during his days at Homestead High School in California between 1968 and 1972.
Indian connection
Another interviewed person told FBI that Eastern and Indian mysticism and religion influenced Jobs' personal life for the better.
Faced Bomb Hoax
The report also reveals that Jobs and Apple faced a bomb hoax in 1985. As mentioned in one of the documents, an unidentified man called Apple from a public telephone, saying that 'devices' have been placed at Jobs house and others. Another device had been set up to explode if Apple called the authorities. The caller demanded $1 million.
Die-hard Bob Dylan's fan
One of the documents reveals that Steve Jobs was a big fan of Bob Dylan, who dated folk musician Joan Baez. Accidentally, Jobs also briefly dated Joan Baez.
